Baking is one of my favorite things in the whole world.I’ve been baking bread for 15 years—and as I shared in the video, my first loaves were absolutely terrible. I decided I wanted to grind my own wheat right from the start… which was (and still is) a terrible idea.

Let’s just say 100% whole wheat bread is dense. Like, baby-weight dense. At the time, I had no idea why my loaves felt like bricks.


Even the bread knife was depressed by my baking efforts. 😆My husband tried to be supportive—he swore the bread wasn’t as bad as I kept saying. I promise you: it was. Maybe worse.


But I didn’t give up. I was determined to master bread baking.I spent years learning technique, formulas (in baking, recipes are considered formulas), flavor, and texture. Now I make absolutely fabulous bread—and I’m 100% positive you can too.


That’s why I created this series.

This first video, Bread Baking 101, walks you through my master buttery dough—a soft, versatile base that can become:

🥪 A fluffy sandwich loaf and or A beautiful twisted cinnamon swirl.


And this is just the beginning. In each video, I’ll keep sharing real techniques, recipes (formulas!), and tons of tips to help you bake amazing bread at home.

We’ll do it step by step, together.
